40th and Dodge Family Dentistry Utilizes Sanzonate Solutions for Bacteria-Free Environment

As dental offices continue to receive interim infection prevention and control guidance from the CDC during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Luke Matranga and his family dentistry practice in Omaha, Nebraska has implemented Sanzonate Aqueous Ozone technology and Sanzonate Biological Cold Fogging for decontaminating, sanitizing, and cleaning.

Aqueous Ozone and Biological Fogging provide a safer, more effective approach to contamination removal and bacteria elimination than traditional chemical-based alternatives. Sanzonate solutions are being utilized in the Matranga Family Dentistry offices that feature four full-time dentists, four operatories, and 15 support staff members including two full-time hygienists in a full-service facility for complete oral care.

  • Sanzonate's patented Engineered Water uses Aqueous Ozone (AO) technology that converts municipal water into a powerful contaminant-removing, bacteria-killing agent that cleans and sanitizes without the use of chemicals.

  • The engineered water destroys all potentially harmful microorganisms and is a highly effective biofilm, fiber, and surface control agent that can be used to clean and disinfect virtually any environment.

  • Sanzonate’s Biological Cold Fogging utilizes NEW biocidal technology by neutralizing over 300 Viruses, Bacteria, Allergens, Mold, Spores, and Fungi.

  • The binary solution eliminates >7 log or 99.99999% to non-detectable presence of the most common potentially harmful microorganisms including SARS-CoV-2.

Opportunity

Dr. Matranga’s Family Dentistry provides care for up to 65 patients on a daily basis and counts nearly 4,000 total patients listing his offices as their dentist of record. His full-service practice offers services including: Family Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Preventative Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, and Dentistry for Children.

Prior to Sanzonate, our staff members were using chemical-based chlorides for
disinfecting and cleaning our operatories, lobby, offices, break-room, and
restrooms. We now have a better way to maintain a bacteria-free environment
using chemical-free technology from a company we can trust. Sanzonate helps
us achieve recommended infection prevention and control practices in a safe,
but effective manner.

The fogging application assures us that our patients and staff are in an
environment that’s safe from bacteria and viruses, especially SARS-CoV-2, the
virus that causes COVID-19.

Sanzonate Solution

Dr. Matranga has deployed the Sanzonate Aqueous Ozone Fill Stations to provide his staff with an allin- one solution to sanitize and clean any surface. His dental practice has identified three significant applications of the highly oxidized water and include:

1) Sanitizer and cleaner for operatories, patient lobby, offices, break room, and restrooms,

2) Water source for reservoirs feeding equipment used in all dental procedures, and

3) Rinse agent or oral rinse for patient procedures.

We are always on the look out for new technology that keeps our patients and staff safe from harmful bacteria that’s ever-present in a dental practice and we’re pleased to have found Sanzonate, asserts Matranga.

In addition to the Aqueous Ozone technology, Dr. Matranga uses Sanzonate Biological Fogging as part of a regular protocol to disinfect his dental offices.

We know when we’re done with the fogging application, everything in the office has been disinfected, says Matranga.

The Results

1. Highly effective approach to disinfecting, sanitizing, and cleaning without using harsh chemicals

2. Lowered bacteria for patients and staff using the oxidized water in dental procedure equipment

3. Extended life of dental equipment using Aqueous Ozone water

4. Safe, effective alternative using AO water as a patient oral rinse agent

5. Savings of almost 70% of the cost of chemicals and distilled water
